Houchens Food Group Wins Big at NGA

Many of employee-owners attended the National Grocers Association Show last month in Las Vegas. The 3 day event is full of independent retailers, food manufacturers and service providers to learn, engage, share, network and innovate. In addition, there are a few awards ceremonies to celebrate the year prior's achievements.

Melissa Anderson, an IGA 2025 USA Retailer of the Year and HFG Store Manager of the Year, was awarded the Retail Learning Institute People Development Award by IGA, INC.

The Shelby Report also recognized Melissa with its Exceptional Independents Award during it's ceremony.

Houchens Food Group was recognized by The Shelby Report as its Exceptional Independent Retail Organization for 2024.

HFG Marketing and Merchandising team won NGA’s Creative Choice Award in the Dairy Category, and an Honorable Mention for Frozen Food.
