Two HFG Stores Awarded Olympic Torch for Coca-Cola Displays

During the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, Coca-Cola held an Olympic themed display contest. World-wide, more than 10,000 displays were built. Two Houchens Food Group stores placed in the top 3 nationally.

Owensboro Hometown IGA, Store #20, was awarded their official torch of the 2024 Paris Olympics on Monday, November 25th. Brad Morris, Senior Director, Global Accounts at Coca-Cola, presented it to the store team and reps from Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

Greenwood Marketplace held their celebration on Tuesday, December 3rd. Brad Morris was on hand once again to award the official torch from the 2024 Paris Olympics to the store team and members from Clark Bottling Company. The Greenwood mayor, Carol Adams and Mississippi State Senator, David Jordan, were present for the celebration.

These awards underscores the creativity of our stores and partnerships and dedication to showcasing the iconic Coca-Cola brand. The awards will be proudly displayed in-store as a testament to their achievement and connection to this global event. Congratulations to our winning stores for this well deserved honor and for bringing a piece of the Olympic spirit to our communities.
